Dimensions: 1200mm x 580mm x 125mm. This slip-on mattress cover complies with the limit specifications set by Dr T J Sprott for the elements phosphorus, arsenic and antimony. This cover will prevent any harmful gas from the mattress reaching the baby. BabeSafe mattress covers have been widely used in New Zealand for the past five years for the purpose of cot death prevention. Instructions for use of a Babesafe mattress cover: air mattress well and place it inside the BabeSafe cover. Fold the open end of the cover under the mattress and seal the cover using the adhesive strip. Do not cut the cover to fit the mattress. If the cover is larger than the mattress, after sealing the adhesive strip fold the extra plastic under the side/ends of the mattress so that the cover is firm and smooth on the mattress. Tape the extra plastic onto the cover using wide clear adhesive tape, taking care not to obstruct the ventilation holes which are on the printed side of the cover. Place the covered mattress in the cot.
It is essential to use the correct bedding on a Babesafe wrapped mattress. Place a pure cotton blanket on the wrapped mattress. Do not use any of the following items: sheepskin, sheep fleece underlay, moisture resistant mattress protector, any form of mattress pad, any blanket which contains polyester, acrylic blanket, duvert or quilt, pillows or cushions, sleeping bag or clothing bag. Do not use the cover if it is punctured or torn.
