My favorite summer wine and California have done it justice, a little more body than some Zinfandels make it an ideal table wine as well being sutable for indulgent quaffing. Serve well chilled.

This is a first class, top tier, superb wine! I've started home-brewing again after many years, having brewed Boots wine kits in my bedroom as a kid of about 13, and things have clearly moved on. I can't claim to be any sort of wine expert but, in my humble opinion, the wine produced by this kit is the equal to any of the mid-priced commercial wines up to about the £7-£9 mark (wine snobs feel free to correct me on this). After two or three weeks of drinking this I've found that it's actually become difficult to drink shop bought wine at around the £4-£5 mark as it tastes so rough in comparison; take this as a challenge - go on try it! It didn't clear quite as well as it should but I'm sure that that was due to the fact that I didn't de-gass it properly and should have racked it once more to minimise the sediment which I got in a couple of the bottles. Being too eager to start chucking it down my neck was the problem I reckon! This produces a superb wine at a cost of £1.35'ish a bottle. I use bottled water for everything I make now so it would be about 8p a bottle cheaper if you used tap. However the tap water here is not condusive to a good brew and for a few pence more buy using cheap supermarket bottled you can't get robbed. This is getting better by the day so be sure to keep a few bottles for a good while and I'm sure the results will be amazing. I've got a batch of their Pinot Grigio on the go at the moment and, judging from the small sneaky taste I've had, it's going to be awesome as well. I'm giving it a 5 rating. Would have given 4.5, just in case the clearing problems mentioned above weren't down to me, but I'm prepared to give it the benefit of the doubt. Just buy it!

This was my sixth brew and, so far, easily the most successful. This kit produced a beautiful deep rose wine with a really fruity flavour. The initial result was a tad dry for our taste, but the addition of 1.5 level teaspoons of sugar per litre after filtering really boosted the flavour and took the edge of the acidity. (This is only the second time I've sweetened and I'm a little worried about secondary fermentation, so after filtration and sweetening I stored in demijohns with air-locks, bottling 6 bottles at a time for consumption) If I could give a 6 star rating I would, and will have to brew this one again since the family are necking it at a phenomenal rate :o(

This was one of the first kits I made. Produced a very nice wine that was easy to drink. Will use this kit again.
