George III Style Log Bucket
This superb rendition of a George III mahogany brass lined bucket caught our eye the moment we saw it! The close grained timber is carved with an elegant spiral design and the fitments are all of solid brass. Buckets such as this were popular in great Irish houses to hold peat for fires, they are excellent nowadays for logs. Others were made without liners and with an aperture at the side to carry dinner plates between the kitchen and the dining room. This example is a serious hand made recreation.
