upon finding myself annoyingly unemployed due to my redundancy after a month, i saw it to apply for job seekers allowance just to tie myself over until finding a new job, i hate claiming and have never done it since 1998, on my attendance at port talbot jobcentre i was cheekily told to just go and ring this number to start my claim, when about 14 staff sat around talking, it took me 45 minutes to get through to an advisor on the jobcebtreplus hotline, and a further 94 minutes setting up a totally simple claim, only to be told id have to wait 14 days before i can be seen by anyone in the actual centre!

so when i attended, they have a person at the front of the centre to ''greet'' if you can call it that, and to advise.. she told me quite sternly ''oh youll have to wait shes on dinner'' and told me to take a seat. this infuriated me.

and finally when i saw the ''advisor'' she told me with no smile or friendliness there would be a further wait of 10 days... and when i recieved the payment, it somehow magically got payed into the account i used in 1998!! luckily for them it was still active, it took me an hour to trace the account via helpful staff from halifax.

I am considering taking action against the jobcentre as this is totally sick service, given by total idiots.

I am so glad i found new employment.
