Do I need a barrels or bottles?
Bottles can hold more pressure than a barrel so the drink is more "fizzy". We normally recomend a barrel for bitter/ale style beers and bottles for lager and cider but this is down to personal preferrence.
Do I need additional sugar?
Yes, Most bitter kits (those under 3KG) require an extra 1Kg of brewing sugar or malt to make them up to the correct strength.
