I bought a car from the LHD Car Company in April 2007. They did not deliver it so they told me to collect it from Germany and they would pay the transport. Once I had got it, they paid me half!
I was sold a 'demonstrator in showroom condition with full service history'
It arrived with no history and when I registered the car in Spain it came up as an insurance write off!
I checked it out and had no trouble obtaining all the records of the Dekra accident report or the details of the sale for salvage.
Now the Court case is iminent I have a copy of the purchase invoice, signed by Gavin Stafford, from the German trader who sold the car and it clearly confirms that the LHD Car Company bought the car in the knowledge that it had been damaged and repaired.
I was recently contacted by BBC Watchdog about my experience as they are still receiving complaints about LHD Car Company and may be featuring them again in the near future.

I and a friend have both had recent dealings with the Left Hand Drive car company. Having waited 3 months for my car I was told I couldn't cancel as it had been brought in to order. After much wrangling I found out it hadn't even been bought by them, they had just been sat on my money gaining interest. It's not just buying cars, my friend had a job getting his money after they sold his car! STAY CLEAR!!!

If ever there was a company that needed Watchdog on their backs - this has to be it!

They are an absolute disgrace! I have never dealt with a company that is so openly willing to lie and cheat customers. They seem to have no respect for the law or anyone’s rights.

God i wish i had found these comments before I got involved with them. They had my car for 5 months, and never did a single thing. Every time i would follow up and ask what’s going on there would be a new buyer, and a new story. One week it was being sold to someone in Spain, the next someone in France, and even someone in Germany. There was always some story as to why it had not gone through and eventually i just dawned on me there full of sh*t!

I took my car back, my husband is a pretty big and scary chap so they dared not argue about it, and i have sold it in one week all by myself just by advertising it on mobile.de and some other European websites.

Sure, I had the hassle of driving it across Europe, but I got my money and made a couple of k extra, which covered the cost to drive it over and a nice long weekend away with the wife.

Don't ever go near these scammers, never let them near your vehicle, and never ever give them money!!

Shocking! Where the hell are trading standards, shut these people down and prosecute them!

Unless you have nerves of steel (and foolish) avoid Mirconet, LHD Car Company and the Loachs. A quick search on the internet will reveal numerous horror storries. From personal experience I can confirm that the basis of their operation is to take your money and keep it (earning interest?) for as long as possible and for many people this has been forever! If you want to get less headache for your money, dig a big hole in the ground fill it with your hard earned cash and set fire to it.

I saw the lhdcarcompany advert on Autotrader and contacted them concerning a car I was interested in. I was told by Gavin Stafford that the car had been sold, but I was quickly contacted with details of another car that fitted my requirements. He stated that they only source cars from reputable dealerships in Germany and have good business relationships with them which allows the lhdcarcompany to offer cars at much lower prices than in the UK. It all seemed genuine and and I sent a deposit by cheque. I then looked at www.autoscout24.de to see if I could find the car for sale in Germany, and found the identical car at a dealership for £1500 more than I was quoted. This made me a bit suspicious and I contacted the German dealer who told me that he had never heard of or done business with the lhdcarcompany. I then discovered the link to the Micronet Showroom and the endless number of complaints against this company, I can only assume that one of their tricks is to ask potential customers for their requirements and then look for a similar car on European websites, copy these details and photographs and try to pass them off as cars they are able to source from Europe. I'm in little doubt that this particular instance is a scam and that they had no intention, or possibility of purchasing this car and delivering it to the UK. I managed to stop the cheque and I've contacted Autotrader to add to the complaints against them.
Don't take any chances and do not use this company. I'm just annoyed that even after years of complaints this company cannot be forced to cease trading, even whilst being investigated by the OFT. Meanwhile the cheating owners are allowed to continue stealing money from the public unhindered.

We were taken in by these people !! Website based , customer feedback on site , smoothtalk , & promises from salesman Mr Gavin Stafford.
Having placed £17.368,00 UK Sterling on the table with a promise of 2 weeks delivery , 60 e~mails , 12 weeks of total nonsense from company staff , no car , no money and a £750.00,00 penalty clause if you withdraw from the contract.
We are fortunate in having good friends. After a personal visit from some "Friends" we were lucky to retrieve our cash.
We suffered personal losses of £5000.00 in this contract , and 10 weeks of upset & aggravation.
Company partners Mr David and Richard Loach quoted " I am convinced that as your buying agent we acted with complete due diligence to procure your car " These people are trading on our gullibility and hard earned cash.

We are Portuguese resident and do not have the benefit of your small claims court. To take them to court personally would cost another £5000.00 , unfortunately we do not have the time to take them to public court .

I paid £5K deposit and £35 balance £40K total to these hoods last month for a Range Rover Sport.
Duff info, false Chaasis No.s and a load of bullshit later, I paid a visit and demanded my money back.
Managed to get £15K chaps plus a cheque for £25K whick cleared today!

anyone get their money back?? i have fallen foul to this too - wish i had researched a liitle more before. Be interested to know how people who have got their money back, how they have done it!!
