Never buy anything from this company. If you have a faulty product it is virtually impossible to get them to respond.

My view? Don't buy from Pixmania. Any savings you make could end up being spent on phone calls trying to get some help from them. We sent our camera back to them in March and we are still waiting for it to be returned. We have made call afetr call, email after email. They have been horrendous just fobbing us off.
All I can say is 'Buyer beware'. They are not what they make out to be. I hope I save at least one person from having the awful experience we have had.

I ordered a Canon Ixus 55 from Pixmania, and seleceted next day delivery so that I would have it in plenty of time for my holiday in Florida, 1 week later. However, although Pixmania showed the product in stock, my account page showed that it would not be shipped for 5 days due to computer problems! It was shipped 10 days later (after I had left for my holiday), but the camera was lost within DHL. DHL have been painstakingly slow at confirming they have lost the consignment, and this has added to the delay at Pixmania in authorising the dispatch of a replacement product. It has been 3 weeks so far and still no camera. I have come to the conclusion that it is better to pay a little extra at another retailer and get proper customer service, than to save a few pounds and lose the memories of a lifetime.

Wouldn't exchange a faulty printer 10 days after purchasing

The price might seem attractive, but beware of the poor after sales service they give.
I bought a Canon Pixma printer from this company, and found out 10 days later that it printed pictures with lines going through it. You would expect a company to exchange a product that was clearly faulty, but according to their policy they could not exchange it after 7 days.
Instead, they asked me to send it back to France (at my own expense), where they would then send it to Canon to be repaired.
Canon were even surprised at the poor customer service offered.
This company clearly have no customer value which also reflects in speaking to various members of their staff and management.
Let this be a word of warning

I have a serious complaint with Pixmania
I have the print out of my order that states that the item was in stock when it was ordered on 9 Dec 2004 and my visa card was cleared and payment deducted. It was a few days before they then asked for a faxed bill for security reasons, which I found to be very unusual but I fully complied. It was after that I received notification of a delay from the manufacturers. This info was irrelevant since the item I ordered was in stock! Since then I was given a revised delivery date of 14 December which did not happen. I complained and was told that it will be delivered on Monday 21st December which did not happen. I have sent further emails but they have chosen to ignore my request leaving me with no choice but to cancel the order. Pixmania is not a reputable company and by breaking their promise and resulting in a great deal of hassle and a very disappointed son. I cannot recommend Pixmania to anyone. The site promised delivery before Christmas and did not comply and I would advise everone to stay clear of them as they are not a company with honesty and integrity.

When the new Nikon D70 was introduced, Nikon UK responded by limiting the amount of imports, thus keeping the price artificially high. After waiting for over 2 months, I decided to look elsewhere. Pixmania offered the camera at approximately £100 to £150 less than UK prices, the camera was in stock and delivery was 24hrs. This is service that is hard to beat and Nikon UK ought to take notice. The only downside some people might find was that, being a French company, the manuals are all in French. Not too much of a problem for a French speaker. In the case of Nikon, it was easy to register the camera once I had it and to obtain an English manual off the international website.
