Unable to register to the 'royal'mail postcode finder and when I do it says oops we have a problem...
Of course they dont want you to get a free postcode..!!! use their premium rate telephone number..absolute sham..postcods used to be in the Thompsom Local until they realised they could make more money out of us...ukphonebook is great..

The Royal Mail Postcode finder is an absolute joke. Not only does it take an average of 10 minutes to find a postcode (if you manage it) but the fact that you are forced to log in each time is unacceptable. It takes so long and who can remeber the login details? I feel this is the slowest, worst website I have ever had the misfortune to visit, and I would rather risk my business post being returned to sender than looking up correct postcodes again. We only do it to help them. I know it's not very frequent, but when searching for business postcodes its 10 times faster to simply search for that companies website!

Free UK postcode checker.

I have started to use a service called Postcode Anywhere.
This allows you to check addresses without having to go thro' the tedious registration process at The Royal Mail.
Problem solved.

This website, first set 20 illegal cookies. It then demanded a registration in order to look up a postcode, to enable the Royal Mail to deliver a letter faster. There is a limit of 8 lookups allowd in a 24 hour period... So it will take me 2 weeks to correct my christmas card list...
IT IS RUBBISH.... When I tried to send them a message, even their "form" didn't work properly. Ahhhhhh!
