I was looking for something different, a break away in the sun, and checked out the Sherpa website. The site is very comprehensive with many choices both near and far, it is very easy to either book on line or by phone / letter. I spoke to helpful and friendly people in the offices in Hounslow, and having found the holiday I wanted - 8 days walking on La Gomera in the Canaries, I booked and was soon on my way.
I received excellent route notes for the walk, with the historical and geographical history of the island, also a few recommended books were suggested. Travelling on my own I found the reps in La Gomera couldn't have been more helpful, and to this day I can honestly say it was the most enjoyable holiday I have ever had.
