I have been endeavouring for the past 2 years to get my local store to install a Car Park Attendant without success. I shop on average twice a week and always have problems parking due to non-disabled drivers parking in the disabled only bays. Are they aware that by not policing the disabled bays on its premises, they are failing to provide people with access to goods and services as specified in Section 19 of the Disability Discrimination Act. Recently a disabled driver scored a resounding victory when he took a supermarket giant to court and was awarded £5000 for disability discrimination.
