Note that this review is more than 6 months old and the company's procedures may have changed considerably since this review was written.
All online retailers should be made by law to display stock levels. Amazon do not give stock levels but instead display dispatch dates. If the date says "usually within 24 hours" you can reasonably assume that the item is in stock. If it says "usually within 2-3 weeks" then expect a long wait as it is not in stock. I recently waited over 2 months for an item so displayed, a Nikon camera, before cancelling the order when I found I could get the same item from France - and at a much lower price!
The lesson behind this story is always check stock levels, if it looks doubtful, don't order, go elsewhere.

i have ordered many things from amazon from electrical to books. this is an excellent company in all the years i have used it i would recommend it to anybody.
