Note that this review is more than 6 months old and the company's procedures may have changed considerably since this review was written.
I ordered a seven hundred pound Lofra cooker from the store in Stockport. The delivery came Saturday morning.The cooker was incomplete, they had not delivered the glass lid & to make matters worse my wife took the delivery & was asked for fifteen pounds delivery charge from the driver, which she paid.
I had already paid the charge when I ordered the cooker.
So, i rang the store, explained the situation to first the sales assistant Rob, then the manager Richard.
They told me that as the company had recently gone into administration, to get my fifteen pounds back I would have contact the adminstrators. I told them that as THEY had taken my fifteen pounds THEY should be responsible for repaying the charge.
Their attitude was abysmal & ultimately they would not change the line " you'll have to contact the administrators".
The phone call, on an 0870 number by the way, lasted about an hour.
With regards to the missing glass lid, the manager argued with me that the cookers on display didn't have glass lids, so why should mine.
I explained to him that in the Lofra brochure it states " all cookers come with glass lids".
To this Richard replied " I've only been here two months, so I don't know".
To date I've still not got my fifteen pounds back, nor have I got my glass lid, all this hassle for a cooker that was about twenty pounds cheaper than elsewhere.
I would not buy a fuse from this store.
