rubbish Rating of 8

Posted by richi in sussex on Tuesday, 11 Nov 2008.

I am just writing this review after reading some of the others ones and thinking to my self why do some people have to be fickle.
Dont get me wrong some of there comments are true but the reason we all go to morrisons (and all the other big stores for as well) is because they are cheap and conveniant. Yes there staff are not always cheerful but you cant blame morrisons for that entirely that is down to the particular member of staff themselves.
As for the freshness of there produce the only way you can guarantee freshness is to produce the stuff yourself. Also and possibly the thing that annoys me most is the person that moaned about the lack of fair trade items I myself am yet to be convinced that half of these so called fair trade items really are and not an excuse to hike the price of a particular product up in price. Finally i do my shopping in morrisons every week and would not shop any where else as i beleive they for a big chain they make the best effort to give there stores a local feel and they offer the best range of fresh fruit, veg, meat and fish of any of the big super markets at the best prices.

poor customer service Rating of 1

Posted by chriskinn in Brecon, Powys on Monday, 16 Jun 2008.

We only have Morrison's, a small Co-op and Aldi's in our town. The next nearest supermarket is 20 miles away. I have to return to Morrison's quite often to ask for a refund after being overcharged, the trained customer service staff member is very abrupt, never smiles and most certainly does not apologize for their mistake. Today I bought an item clearly marked at £1.08 but was charged £10.80 I spoke to the store and was advised they were aware of this particular problem and had alerted staff. I wonder how many more customers miss this as I did not used to check my receipt quite so thoroughly before

morrisons is a JOKE! Rating of 1

Posted by clairequinny on Monday, 09 Jun 2008.

i went into morrisons in DROITWICH today to get a bottle of milk and some cigarettes for the mother in law, there were only about 4 tills open and the lines were big. I picked up milk and made my way to the tobacco counter waited in line and there were people all stood at the till so the small sign on the side of the till was not visable until you got to the front of the line (stating no other items at till) but by then i had been stood there 5mins asked for cigarettes and put milk on counter only to be told i would have to go to the other counter to purchase milk, i could not belive they were asking me to queue for another five mins to buy a pint of milk asked to see manager no help at all just said it was policy. gave me customer services number and they said they would pass on complait asked them if they wanted my name said they would not get back to me they only pass it on, will never shop there again!!!!!!!!!!

I was shocked by Morrisons customer service!!!! Rating of 1

Ban Morrisons!!

One thing I truly hate and won't ever do again: shop at Morrisons.

Staff there have been incredibly rude and unfriendly to me and other people I know on several occasions. Once they were even racist (or call it xenophobic if you like). I wrote a letter of complaint to Morrisons headquarters, they lost it. I sent another one and received a response (nearly two months later!) saying they hope I'll shop with them again and they're sorry to hear I was dispappointed by their service. Completely beside the point! Not one comment on their staff asking me questions like how long I had lived in this country, whether I drive, etc...

I'm calling on all sensible people to avoid shopping at Morrisons. I generally go to One Stop for small things, or we drive 3 miles to the next town and shop in Sainsburys.

Morrisons don't deserve our business!

I shopped in a Morrisons this morning for the first ( and I can be pretty sure) the last.Your advert for a smiling man on the fish counter had disappeared !!! The freshness of the fish appeared to be a few days old.So please show us a slow to serve, miserable, chap with the fish looking desperate to be sold, and it would be a more accurate advertisment and I may just shop there for your honesty !

Parent & child/Disabled parking Rating of 1

First of all, I find it odd that Morrisons doesn't seem to have any form of email contact!
My gripe is one that must be shared with others, Why after so many disabled parking spaces were created for less abled shoppers, do Morrisons quite happily allow some of them to park in the 6 spaces that are allocated to parent and child spaces, today, We (with toddler) had to park across the other side of Morrisons because 3 of the 6 spaces were taken up by so called disabled car owners who seem to think that they have a god given right to park anywhere they like, I have complained many times at customer service, but they obviously aren't interested. They should take a leaf out of ASDA'S book.

1. Who allowed Lulu to walk through the streets with a shopping trolley I thought you could not remove them from the trolley park.

2. Christmas must have came early for lulu she passes a window where all the family are round the table enjoying their Christmas Dinner.

3. Lulu walks into the supermarket and passes the football manager loading the three tins of sweets into his trolley.

the advert is all out of control WHY DO THESE PEOPLE NOT USE ORDINARY PUNTERS WHO SHOP THERE INSTEAD OF USING THESE PEOPLE WHO CHARGE THE EARTH IN FEES

Nobody Smiles Rating of 5

Went to the coffee shop in their Tiverton, Devon branch last week. Coffee good, dognuts good, clean and tifdy but none of the staff smiled or looked in the least bit cheerful. They all looked liked they had been sacked and this was their last day and so they didn't care less any more. It was 11.00 so it wasn't even that busy.
The plus is that it's not far from the M5 so it is useful for lunch without paying high Motorway prices.

'Fresh' greengroceries Rating of 2

As all these Morrisons reviews are out of date, just to confirm as of Feb 07 that there has been no improvement in the fresh side of M's offer: their fruit & veg are very likely to go mouldy as soon as you get them home, if not before; and certainly before the 'display until' date. It's the same with Flowers, they do not last, some do not even open, just die on the spot. I'd advise against buying these products at Morrisons at all. The argument against their Own Brands is still valid also: fruit juices are now largely own brand, and packed full of extra sugar and sweeteners to make them undrinkable - with little other choices.
There are some 'good buys' - but not these ones!
