Daily mail is giving away complimentary 'Body & Soul DVD' series to their readers. These DVD's can be collected from W. H. Smith after presenting the published tokens from the Daily Mail. I managed to collect one such a DVD from the Brent Cross NW4 of W. H. Smith. It was raining heavily and asked the check out operator if she could give me a small bag to carry. I was surprised by the offensive manner my request was refused by the checkout operator. Some time I wonder which charm school these operators go to! I think the management of these shops should explain the staffs that even in a city like London, not all the men carry hand bags. Alternatively, the Daily Mail should make it clear that to collect these DVD's, one should bring their own bag to carry. I do not want to make much fuss about this matter otherwise the current Government will pass a legislation to make it compulsory for every man to carry a hand bag(Under the Environmental Policies) while shopping and will move on. However, I have made my point and hope that Daily Mail and W. H. Smith will look into this matter and make the lives of male shoppers easier. Alternatively the shops should start charging for their bags due to the Environmental Reasons. They used to do that way back in 8o's.

Today I was please to discover a little display by the service till in a branch of W. H. Smith. It asks the customers to say no to the carrier bags due to the environmental reasons. I think it is a step towards the right direction.
