What a major mistake. I have never come across such a useless mail order company. The systems don't work, the telephone operators/staff don't have a clue, and basically it's the worst run company I've ever met. They have no common sense, and are complete liars. The last incident was: I order via the internet. 1 week later the goods hadn't arrived, so I telephoned them. They said they had no record of my internet order. So they said would I like to re order via the phone. So I did. 1 week later, two parcels arrived with the same items in. I checked my bank account and guess what; they've taken the money twice (even though they'd never received the first order). So I decided not to keep any goods what so ever. I contacted the delivery guy, but after several messages being left, I received no reply, so took the goods to Royal Mail. I phoned additions and after talking to a member of staff who guaranteed only 1 parcel was sent (basically calling me a liar) I demanded to speak to a supervisor. They confirmed 2 items had been sent (obviously the first operator was being awkward). After numerous phone calls etc to sort the problem out I received a refund, how ever missing the postage. I contacted additions direct, and they said the postage had been credited to my account. I don't have an account so decided to speak to a supervisor again. He confirmed that the postage will be paid to my bank and i'm still waiting for this. During this whole fiasco, I contacted additions via their website contact section. Basically everyone has a different idea of what's going on. Several work colleagues, friends and family have had similar problems. Argos, why did you have to sell such a well run company by yourselves, to some dodgy cowboy outfit? http://www.theukhighstreet.com/perl/review.cgi?ReviewID=1912 http://www.theukhighstreet.com/perl/review.cgi?ReviewID=1912 Fri, 06 Aug 2004 12:00:00 GMT
