Order of 4 acer trees never arrived after 6 weeks from purchase of Groupon voucher. Groupon says they consider Gardening Express a trustworthy company and they do a lot of advertisement of their deals, despite the high number of complaints found all over the internet and Trading Standards. I'd think twice!!

Order came quicker than expected, and all was present, correct and in good condition. plants were good quality, and will definitely use them again

I ordered 4 fuchsia trees through groupon which were meant to be 90 cm. When they were delivered they were very samll, in poor condition and UPSIDE DOWN! I tried to call Gardening Express but they never answer their phone. I used their online customer service system to report this problem and it took them 3 weeks to respond. When they did respond, they left a message for me on their system that said they were sorry they'd had a problem with their online system and they "assumed that my complaint had been resolved"!!!!! I will keep on trying to contact them but I am now contacting Groupon in an attempt to get a refund! I wish I'd looked at the review sites before ordering as it's plain to see that they are not a reputable company. I am now going to make a complaint to Trading Standards and put warnings on all the review sites I can find so that other people don't have the same problem.

Delivery took a while but when the plants arrived they were in good condition and packed well. Good value when bought in the sale. Thank you Gardening Express, will use again

I too placed an order with Gardening Express for two topiary trees - but was delivered half dead fuchsia's!!
I too have remained on the phone for over 20 mins and being cut off at least 5 times. I eventually spoke to someone on the order line on Friday and emailed with the evidence and still have nothing.
I have also phoned Groupon customer service to get them to get my money back as the broker!
Awful DO NO USE THEM!

We have used Gardening Express on more than one occasion, and, on each occasion they were great. We got what we ordered, and, in perfect condition, and delivery and service was second to none. Our experience was excellent, in deserving high praise, Gardening Express Fantastic.

I purchased a voucher from Groupon for topiary bushes. You cannot email Gardening Express and the number advertised cuts you off after anywhere up to half an hour. I have raised two tickets for them and they have have not responded. I have been trying every day for almost a month to contact them. I managed to speak to somebody once - I was put on hold for 15 minutes then cut off! Trading Standards really should investigate this company.

ordered the 5 fruit trees via groupon. Arrived quickly. good roots and planted up well. In bloom and cant wait for them to have fruit next year probably. Have posted questions on their facebook page and got very good answers re other plants and two more orders placed.
Checked the fruit trees out in our local Blooms nursery and just one was more expensive than the cost of all five from GE and quality wasnt better than GE. Can't wait to place more orders. I wold say to anyone who has a problem, post on their facebook page as you get good responses there.

I ordered 4 pre planted Fuchsia hanging baskets from Gardening Express with a Groupon voucher.
When they arrived (late) they turned out to be small 6" plastic pots, not baskets as described.
The Fuchsias are of very poor quality to say the least.

I purchased 6x bay trees in pots to line the aisle for my daughter's wedding in 2011. They arrived quickly, were well packaged and looked very healthy.
Late in 2012, I noticed that one of them appeared to be dying and tweeted the company. I was very pleased to be told that it would be picked up at my convenience and a total refund would be given. Customer service at it's best!!

Please avoid Gardening Express at all costs! I ordered some Palm Trees and used a Groupon Voucher. The bill was around 6 pounds then when I got my invoice found out they had actually charged me over �155 pounds! Now I cannot contact them they have no email, no one answers the phone or looks at their ticket system. Spoke to Groupon and they gave me another number for them but surprise surprise its is just engaged constantly.

One of the two topiary died a few weeks after the purchase. When we throw it away, we discovered it had no roots at all. Unfortunately it was too late to complain with Gardening Express or Groupon. We will never buy from them again.

I payed a considerable amount of money for a next day delivery of an order with this company. The order arrived late and was incomplete. I am still waiting for some items a month on. All attempts to contact them have failed. Easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced online.
If you are lucky enough to read this before considering doing business with Gardening Express - DON'T! Look elsewhere!

Delayed delivery

Well I saw a voucher on Groupon for a bonsai tree and it was too good to ignore. I placed the order on the 14/03/2013 and immediately received the confirmation email stating delivery would take place between 10-15 days. I was ok with this because I understand the popularity this would've had on Groupon.
As expected I received a further email informing me delivery would take place within 24-48 hours. All was going well up to now. I used the Yodel tracking number provided and to this day (09/04/2013), Yodel's website states the item is still in Chelmsford waiting for collection.
After a few attempts on the customer service number, which seems to be black in font against the black background, I got through to a lovely lady who explained that because of the recent snow, deliveries where delayed. I received the 'dispatched' emails because the labels had been printed but not processed.
I understand there could've been delays due to weather conditions, but I ordered other items from other companies at the same time and received them on time. I think it's just an easy excuse.
Anyhow, I was told that my item will be processed shortly and to check the tracking tomorrow, it should've changed status to dispatched.
I don't have confidence that I'll get the item anytime soon but who knows.
Sadly, I'd say stay away from this company.
