It contains a set of recordings - made in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, in July 1994 - of compositions by the Spanish-born legend, that was Manuel de Falla (1876-1946, he seems to have moved to France in 1907, then Argentina in '39 ...). 1)-13) "El amor brujo". 14)-20) "Siete canciones populares espanolas (7 popular Spanish songs)", orch. Berio. 21)-25) "Homenajes". 26)-28) Dances from the "Three-Cornered Hat", Suite No.II. (Photo Two gives the expanded tracklisting) The cover opens into a 38-page, EX condition, mono - except for the Outside Covers - booklet (sample Photo Three) containing : Tracklisting ; Performance & recording-credits ; Front-Cover artwork, "Pilar in Concert", undated watercolour by K. van Horne (painted during a concert of de Falla's music, conducted by Mata himself!) ; Interesting 10-page essay, by J.A. Brennan ; Additional, page-long bio. of de Falla by anon., inc. a thumbnail of the composer ; Two-page bio. of Mata (he was tragically killed in an air-crash in Jan'95, shortly before this package was released) again by anon., inc. a still of the man ; Two-page bio. of of Simon Bolivar Orch., by anon., plus a thumbnail ; Page of bio. of mezzo-soprano Senn, by - you've guessed it - anon., with thumbnail (all texts printed in English and Spanish [sorry, I don't know exactly which dialect] languages) ; Parallel lyrics in the two languages.
