History of the famous Liverpool and Whitehaven shipping company. Both volumes illustrated with black & white and colour plates. Blue cloth boards, no previous owner's name or inscription, original booksellers sticker (Charles Wilson of Liverpool). Article from the Journal of Commerce dated 1977 concerning the sale of two of the last five Brocklebank ships tipped in. Bindings tight, pull-out folded family tree starting with Reverend Daniel Brocklebank 1705-1773. Both volumes have original dust jackets, marbled pale blue with dark blue titling. Sunning to both spines, with a small amount of chipping to top of vol 1. Slightly musty smell.
