Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
1948. John Radcliffe was an English physician, academic and politician. A number of landmark buildings in Oxford, including the Radcliffe Camera, the Radcliffe Infirmary, the Radcliffe Science Library, Radcliffe Primary Care and the Radcliffe Observatory were named after him. This book belonged to Dr David Sargant an eminent Northampton Dr and Bibliophile and before him Dr F W Pember whose CV Sargant has written at the front of the book. Blue cloth covers with gilt decoration and lettering. Light wear on the corners, and heavier wear at the top and bottom spine. Inscriptions as mentioned above. Tissue guarded frontis. Rough cut pages - some still uncut. Some pencil markings in the margins. A very handsome book.
