Dr. John Radcliffe And His Trust
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Ivor Guest provides a complete history of Dr. Radcliffe and the activities of The Radcliffe Trust. The Radcliffe Trust is derived from the fortune made by the physician Dr. John Radcliffe, which led to the building of the Radcliffe Camera, one of the glories of Oxford, the Infirmary and Observatory, with the trustees responsible for a specialised scientific library, and supervision of the Observatories. In more recent times the Trust has focused its grant making on the support of music and crafts. This volume is in generally good condition with slight shelf-wear and staining on cover, dedication inscription on endpaper and foxing to page edges.
