"'Folklore in the Old Testament: Studies in Comparative Religion, Legend, and Law' is a 1918 book by the anthropologist Sir James George Frazer, in which the author compares episodes in the Old Testament with similar stories from other cultures in the ancient world. While less well known than 'The Golden Bough' (1890), Frazer's other major work, it is still considered a milestone in comparative folklore". Full set - 3 Volumes. Olive green cloth boards, with scuffs, sunning, marks, bumping and edgewear to covers, plus fraying and minor tears to spine ends. Endpapers and pages however, are in very good condition, being essentially clean, with only occasional foxing / marks. Occasional pages remain uncut. by the printer. Bindings remain good; rear covers are showing signs of loosening. Book labels to front past-downs. Vol I: 569 pp. Vol II: 571 pp. Vol III: 566 pp.
