Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal - usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight, and is therefore a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating. Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct gold easy solder. The bangle has a diameter of 5.5cm and a circumference of 14.4cm (5.5 inches). Please note this bangle should have a relatively tight fit to the wrist. It is not designed to be bent or over flexed in order to fit the wrist, as this may cause damage to the bangle.
