Ibuprofen works to provide relief by changing the body’s response to pain, swelling, and high temperature. The second active ingredient in Nurofen Plus is Codeine Phosphate which is an opioid analgesic. Codeine works by stopping pain signals from traveling along the nerves to the brain. These ingredients together work to reduce inflammation and relieve pain.
