Open Air Scrap-book For Boys And Girls New
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
This second book by Malcolm Saville in his 'Scrap-Book' series, although complete in itself, is virtually a continuation of the Country Scrap-Book and contains much fresh information offered in the same spirit. In addition to chapters dealing with wild life and natural history, the author suggests how his young readers can best explore the countryside, shows them how to plan a walk, read a map and make a camp fire. There is a fascinating chapter on the stars. The book includes poems and quotations by writers such as Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Shelley and Graves. Monochrome photographs and drawings. Hardback with blue cloth boards and an illustrated dust jacket (bottom of spine missing and edges and corners worn and torn). No inscriptions; all pages clean and unmarked. No date but produced in conformity with War Economy Standard
