The Royal Magazine Volumes 2 And 3
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Volumes 2 and 3 from 1899. The Royal Magazine was a monthly literary magazine published between 1898 and 1939. Featuring articles on royalty, hunting, dolls, Japanese tearooms and bicycles among others, these volumes provide a window into the colonialist British upper classes at the turn of the nineteenth century. Throughout the articles are illustrations and black and white photographs. The dull red covers have white rings and marks and the edges of the pages are highly dust stained. There is foxing on the preliminary pages, but the pages with text are clean and unmarked.
