Questo volume descrive la grande vill neoclassica, in una straordinaria posizione dominante il Po e la pianura padana, sorta della completa ricostruzione di una seicentesca "vigna" (le case di villeggiatura dell'aristocrazia sulle colline torinesi) acquistata all'inizio dell'Ottocento da una famiglia nobile che conferi l'incarico all'architetto regio Carlo Sada (1809-1873). Tra i modelli dell'architetto Sada, primo tra tutti Palladio ma anche fonti inglesi. Decaduta, oggi la villa e il parco vivono il momento di massimo splendore grazie ai restauri del nuovo proprietario, collezionista d'arte, che ha dotato la dimora di straordinari arredi e completamente rinnovato l'affascinante giardino.
