Scam

Parcelforce Worldwide takes absolutely no pride in delivering a package on time or in customer concerns. My sister sent me a Christmas package on 18 Dec. It was finally delivered on 10 Jan. I was not in and Parcelforce then confirmed 2 redeliveries with me. I made it a point to stay home all day, twice, and it was never delivered.
I sent a query to customer service the first time it was supposed to be redelivered and it was not answered. After the second time, I spent the time trying to navigate its phone system (which just tries you to get to use the website) and spoke to a representative. He told me the package could never be redelivered because they left it at a post office 1 mile from my flat and I would be charged 50p to pick it up there!
I asked why then did they confirm two redeliveries with me if they didn't intend to redeliver the package? He said he didn't know. I asked why my customer service complaint wasn't answered. He said he didn't know. I asked why they spent it to the post office even though I didn't authorize it. He said they are 'allowed' to. I asked to speak to his manager. He said 'ok, wait.' Then he he came back and said 'hello?' And I said, 'it is still you.' He said 'i am my manager now.'
I can't fathom the incompetency within this company. I can't believe they've left me waiting over one month for a package and expect me to go out of my way to pick it up AND spend extra money doing it.
I asked that they pick up the package from the post office and redeliver it to my flat. He said they are not allowed to do that. They are a pickup and delivery service for crying outloud!
At all costs avoid these fools. If you ever get your package the costs will be far higher than you ever expected.
CHRISTMAS GIFTS
Posted by Sunshine281272 in Chelmsford, UK on Saturday, 22 Dec 2007.
I bought two Christmas Gifts from Hong Kong for my little girls. I've been tracking them since Monday 17 Dec. After noticing that two days in a row the information was still showing "Awaiting Customs Charges" I called Parcel Force and sent them e-mails.
After a few attempts to get new information I was given the Customs contact number and I was told that the parcels were released on teh 19th of December. Since then I have called Parcel Force over 7 times and sent over 5 e-mails. The information I get is always the same. I tried customs a second time and they even gave me the time that the parcels were released for delivery. Parcel Force continue to say that the parcels are awaiting customs charges.
It is now Saturday and I have no hope of receiving these gifts in time for Christmas. What do I tell my girls who are only 5 and 4, they will think that Santa has let them down. I have sent e-mails begging Parcel Force to look further into this matter but they don't.
I work in the freight industry and I know how it works with customs and deliveries etc. In my opinion Parcel Force cannot handle the huge volumes of parcels and are letting the public think that customs is holding on to them. They should just own up to the truth and admit that it is not customs that have caused a delay but their own international hub in Coventry.
When they receive an enquiry they should be contacting the hub to get more information but instead they are just going by the information they find on their tracking screen. Useless!!!
Our Christmas is ruined thanks to Parcel Force.
Why isnt there a zero in the rating bar?

Parcel Force are rude rip off merchants, liars who make up their own rules as they go along and try blame everyone else for their crap service.
My friend in asia sent me a christmas present which was for my younger sister, my friend paid extra to make sure it would be delivered in time for christmas, so she was told....little did she know Parcel Force would take over and make up their own rules.
She sent it Saturday 15th December 2007 by EMS shipping, Monday 17th December 2007 it was in the UK but customs got their hands on it. I called customs Tuesday 18th December 2007 to ask how long it could be with them and I was told by the lady on the phone that it had already been processed by them the previous day and the charge and that Parcel Force now had it.
Well because the tracking number still said it was with customs awaiting charges, I decided to call Parcel Force and ask where my package was. I was just told customs still have it, I explained how I had spoke to customs and they had released it and had told me Parcel Force have it. I said someone must have it or have you lost it, could they give me an answer no, they kept insisting customs had it even though I told them I had been given the charge info which I wouldnt have if it had not been processed, oh and this included a £13.50 charge by Parcel Force. Yes charging me extra for a christmas present that may not even get here on time when delivery was already expensive for my friend. I left it for that day as they told me the status should change within 24hrs, if not call us back.
Wednesday 19th December 2007 is today, tracking site is still showing my package as 'awaiting customs charges' and I have spent the day on the phone to one person after another at Parcel Force asking why after 30-40hrs since customs had released it was my package still not at the next step. Well of course none of them could tell me anything, its at customs still, maybe sitting in a cage waiting to be scanned. One agreed to take my details down and get an investigation going and has said someone will call me back today or tomorrow (Thursday 20th December 2007). I was also hung up on by a snooty woman at head office which I am going to follow up as an official complaint. Because I wanted to know where my package was and she couldnt tell me, I told her that wasnt an acceptable response and that I wanted more done as my friend had spent alot of money to get it here in time for Christmas. She told me once something goes into customs that all guarantees are off on delivery times, I said well why claim you can deliver within 3-4 working days when any item could go into customs. I said well can my friend get money back on her postage and was told no as all guarantees are off which means its not possible to claim.
Talking crap, making it up as she goes along just so Parcel Force can keep bringing in the money and offer a poor service. I called PoistWatch who told me couldnt help with Parcel Force but gave me head office details of them, which is when snooty woman hung up on me. 3 days left for my item to get to me, it isnt even at my local depot yet for me to pay the charges so more delays ahead. I will be taking more action against them if my sister is let down, she is only young and is excited but may have her christmas morning ruined by a very bad courier who care nothing about their customers. If anyone has any info of anywhere like PostWatch that may be able to help I would appreciate it. Be warned, where possible avoid them at all costs! extremely poor service, rude unprofessional customer service at head office level. They should not be in business with the service they offer in the time frame they claim, happy to take the senders money but not in a hurry to deliver.
What a farce! How do they get away with it?

I felt I had to update the 'these reviews are 6 months old and may not reflect the company'. Well I can assure you that this company should be ashamed of themselves - and if their customer service is anything to go by - shouldn't be in business.
Take my experience of expecting a delivery today July 07. Firstly I cannot fault their tracking system as it at least allows you to know where the parcel is. However, they claim they couldn't find the address. I feel the Customer Service person lied - he never even made a visit! If he had he could have asked someone! The local PO depot is even next door!
I am disgusted that I received bad attitute, sarcasm, unhelful service, they even hung up on me as they couldn't deal with the complaint.
Unfortunately it was an Ebay seller who used the service - I wouldn't touch them again!
How do they get away with it?

I often order stuff from Amazon and have it delivered for free. Those packages always arrive earlier than expected and are delivered by Royal Mail.
Recently I ordered a Xmas present for my partner and wanted it delivered faster to make sure it would arrive on a certain day.
Unfortunately, Amazon used PARCELFORCE to deliver the parcel.
When it didn't arrive on the day it should have, I tracked it: 4 attempted deliveries, two of them on a day I was home all the time because a BT engineer was installing phone/broadband at my place.
Even if I hadn't been at home, they surely would have left a 'sorry we missed you' note. I'm pretty sure they never even made the delivery attempt.
I called PARCELFORCE to rearrange delivery and to complain. When I asked why they didn't leave a note when they attempted delivery, they replied that they probably ran out of the slips (Yes, they are THAT pathetic!!). To have the parcel redelivered on Saturday would cost me an additional £12!!! So now I have to pick it up at the local post office.
AVOID AT ALL COST!!
Should Be ZERO rating!!!!

I am positively disgusted at the way I have been rudely neglected by a company who say they are 'excellence in both business and consumer delivery'.
Recently I ordered some very expensive good from China and was given a tracking code for my item. I have been tracking it (ea733454533cn/ EC716847186GB) for the last 8 days and was very excited to see it had arrived in the UK 3 days ago. As it was the weekend I didn't expect to see my parcel untill at least yesterday, but continued to track my parcel day and night just in case.
Today however was my next look, I typed in the tracking number and found out that my parcel had supposedly been delivered twice yesterday at 14.12 and again at 17.27. Both of which, if they have any truth did not occur as I have been working from home all week.
I then contacted PARCELFORCE on their automated system 08708 501150 to be greeted by a computer who supposedly could recognise my voice and would be able to help me. The realisation is 3 attempts at saying my tracking number and three repeats of " please could you repeat your tracking number". Ok these machines are rubbish we all know that anyway. I then was put through to an operator after about 7mins on hold! The lady couldn't have been more helpful, and in turn put me through to the Tonbridge depot before I could ask what the problem was. Another 10mins before there depot staff picked up the phone! I explained the situation that my parcel had supposedly been delivered but in actual fact it had not. He searched for my package and I was horrified to find out that it had been returned to sender because the delivery driver had put "house un-occupied" in the reason for non-delivery.
I would love to know how he/she had come to this conclusion especially considering I have not left the house for the last 3 days.
I thought ok this can be stopped and easily rectified with another call to the helpline, again I went through the laborious task of repeating my tracking code three times, again the computer said no! again I reached another call centre operative after waiting another 5-10 mins. I went through the story with him, he then told me to my disbelief that they cannot stop the re-delivery and that it was because of what the delivery driver had put on the non-delivery instructions which is why it is being sent back to sender. My packeg is now somewhere in transit between the Tonbridge depot and China. Your guess is as good as mine!
I went to their website to find out details of holding times and details of re-delivery. It states that "We will keep your parcel secure at a Post Office or at our depot for 16 days before returning it to sender." This I know now is completely false as it has been held for 2 days not 16.
I leave the country in just under 2 weeks and have no forwarding address as yet so now face a long wait to have my parcel redelivered which I will have to pay another £25 for delivery no- doubt. It is appalling at the way I have been treated and the service at which I have been given. Parcel force really are rubbish! I cant believe a company of their size cannot for definate tell me exactly where my parcel is or stop it from being sent back to China for no reason.
They are lucky to get a 1 for rating from me as they deserve ZERO. After all that is what i'm left with absolutely nothing!!!
