I ordered 4 fuchsia trees through groupon which were meant to be 90 cm. When they were delivered they were very samll, in poor condition and UPSIDE DOWN! I tried to call Gardening Express but they never answer their phone. I used their online customer service system to report this problem and it took them 3 weeks to respond. When they did respond, they left a message for me on their system that said they were sorry they'd had a problem with their online system and they "assumed that my complaint had been resolved"!!!!! I will keep on trying to contact them but I am now contacting Groupon in an attempt to get a refund! I wish I'd looked at the review sites before ordering as it's plain to see that they are not a reputable company. I am now going to make a complaint to Trading Standards and put warnings on all the review sites I can find so that other people don't have the same problem.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY!! 1 out of 10

Hi,

Please avoid Gardening Express at all costs! I ordered some Palm Trees and used a Groupon Voucher. The bill was around 6 pounds then when I got my invoice found out they had actually charged me over �155 pounds! Now I cannot contact them they have no email, no one answers the phone or looks at their ticket system. Spoke to Groupon and they gave me another number for them but surprise surprise its is just engaged constantly.

This review is intended as a criticism of the cafe only. Lunched there (or tried to) on 30th March. Ordered meal at 1.05 p.m. By 1.30 p.m. nothing had appeared. Queried this with server who told us because table number had not been displayed in correct place we had been overlooked. When I requested refund meal appeared from kitchen as if by magic!
No apology from staff who tried to indicate that it had been our fault for not displaying table number (It was on the table and clearly legible)
My complaint is about complete lack of service and no obvious guidelines as to how their 'system' operates. First and last time that we shall enter this particular cafe. Such a shame as the supermarket itself is up there amongst the best.

My order is over a month late now - it still shows as "Processing" on their website.
I can't get through to any person on their premium 08448 line and their online ticketing system isn't working either.

Shockingly bad to sell through. No support from ebay, a meaningless feedback system, poorly trained staff who just read a script of turgid fake empathy, complain and they stop contacting you. They only seek a opinion about themselves from sycophants. The overcharge 10% plus the 4% they take through paypal. We pay 2% on our website, compare that to the 14% + that ebay trouser for a s*** service.

I am not a person who only writes negative reviews only for the best and worst.

Today I was expecting a parcel from this company and was using the tracking on line. At 10am I was told it was on the van. At 11am I was told it was on the van and at 1pm I was told delivery had failed at 10.40. I contacted parcel 2 .... and they told me that delivery had been attempted and they would reset delivery for tomorrow. Confused I was. At 1.40pm the parcel arrives and I ask the delivery person had she called earlier -- to which she replies No. Now having stayed in for 4 hours with loss of income I was a bit miffed but to be told, at least, an untruth I was angry.

On line with the company agent they did not seem to know what was happening with their tracking system or answer any question about their mishandled delivery and continued to compound the false statements. They knew so little they still wanted to redeliver the parcel the next day!

Some people might think that they were just lying throughout the whole process, nobody knows but if this farce happens to you make your own judgement.

Back in April I placed an order for 3 Durban Canna Lilies and two batches of tulips - Uncle Tom and Candy Club. The lilies arrived very quickly - though only one actually did anything - two of them were very small and inferior quality. I chased them up for the tulip bulbs through their "ticket" system and eventually, after sending letters by recorded delivery etc, I was told I would get them when they get them - probably between August and November!!! They actually arrived this morning (5 October) and seem good quality bulbs. I read numerous reviews on line after the canna's arrived and was horrified as I usually check reviews first. The most amazing thing was I put their post code from their web site into Google Street Map - its only a house in the middle of nowhere - not even a garden centre!! Only time will tell if the tulips are any good but as I only spent �40 including postage I am one of the lucky ones - never again though!! The quality of their products seems OK its their communication skills that need propagating!!

I ordered �88 worth of plants.. only to discover these reviews.. Horrified, I tried to contact them and could not get through ! The "support ticket" system they have is completely redundant and they never get back to you.. as for phoning - don't bother !!

Having said that - within 2 days I had an email confirming my order.. and the next day my plants arrived in the morning..

I did try and swap a plant via the support ticket.. and no reply, so I thought they didn't get the message. To my delight - they did the swap !!..

Would I get them again ?? not sure as 200 people can't be wrong.. and it was stressful wondering if they would deliver.. which they did in the end !!

The only plants that look sorry for themselves were sage.. but all the others look healthy.. thank god !!

Please don't use this company. My most recent order with them was infuriating and tantamount to theft. I placed a large order of �100 and was told it had not gone through, so then spent considerable time redoing it. The order arrived and several of the plants were in bad nick. I couldn't get through to anyone so gave up trying to let them know. The ticket system was baffling. Two months later, I got an e-mail saying my order had been despatched. What they did was to take the money for the unprocessed order from April, but say it hadn't gone through and so effectively took the order twice. (Note I didn't get two e confirmations.) So now I'm stuck with goods I already have, and which I've got no room for. They will not collect the goods and say it is up to me to return them - not cost effective as there are about 12 boxes - so I am left with the dilemma, do I open the boxes and water the plants knowing they will not ever give me my money back if I do, or do I let them perish? Something tells me I'm going to be the one losing out either way. Who on earth has time for this hassle? On the positive note, at least I can replace the plants that died shortly after arriving with me. DO NOT USE.

Parcelforce Worldwide takes absolutely no pride in delivering a package on time or in customer concerns. My sister sent me a Christmas package on 18 Dec. It was finally delivered on 10 Jan. I was not in and Parcelforce then confirmed 2 redeliveries with me. I made it a point to stay home all day, twice, and it was never delivered.

I sent a query to customer service the first time it was supposed to be redelivered and it was not answered. After the second time, I spent the time trying to navigate its phone system (which just tries you to get to use the website) and spoke to a representative. He told me the package could never be redelivered because they left it at a post office 1 mile from my flat and I would be charged 50p to pick it up there!

I asked why then did they confirm two redeliveries with me if they didn't intend to redeliver the package? He said he didn't know. I asked why my customer service complaint wasn't answered. He said he didn't know. I asked why they spent it to the post office even though I didn't authorize it. He said they are 'allowed' to. I asked to speak to his manager. He said 'ok, wait.' Then he he came back and said 'hello?' And I said, 'it is still you.' He said 'i am my manager now.'

I can't fathom the incompetency within this company. I can't believe they've left me waiting over one month for a package and expect me to go out of my way to pick it up AND spend extra money doing it.

I asked that they pick up the package from the post office and redeliver it to my flat. He said they are not allowed to do that. They are a pickup and delivery service for crying outloud!

At all costs avoid these fools. If you ever get your package the costs will be far higher than you ever expected.
