I visited here to buy a new point and click camera for a dshort city break to Krakow, ended up with an £80 discounted Panasonic Lumix TZ40 at a bargain price! The staff were knowledgeable, even looked for further discounts and offers on the product for me, of which there were none, but I was happy.
Very easy and relaxed experience with friendly staff.

Not oprn 24 hrs as it says on here. Went at 14:00 on a saturday and it was closed.

Absolutely cynical and pathetic.

Called them up to pre-order an item for my daughter's Xmas present and they "guaranteed" next day delivery and so happily took my money.

When I called them the next day they said the order had been put on hold and they won't be able to deliver before Xmas. I told them what to do with their order and asked for my money back.

I wonder how many other last minute Christmas shoppers they are cynically making half-hearted "guarantees" to in order to get their money??

I for one won't be spending any more money at this toilet of a place.

I went into this branch with a problem, I had bought a kindle from another store and after trying many different things could not get it to connect to the internet. The person who served me was a young man and said that it would be no problem and said he could exchange it, just to be sure it was faulty though he wanted to try a few things first. He spent almost 40 mins with me and in the end had gotten it all working. He even explained what had happened and how he fixed it just incase it should ever arise again. Three months on and no problems. Great customer service and actualy wanted to spend time with me to find what the problem was. Will be sure I buy from this store in the future. Thanks.

I went to buy a Wide Screen TV and Camera the other week. When I mentioned I'd had a look on the internet at reviews and prices for the Camera and that it was £70.00 cheaper elsewhere online they said it was probably a scam as 'no one could do it for that discount'.... Well unless Argos are now into scamming people out of money then I don't think so! They said they could not do a deal. I asked if they could throw in a memory card for free and they all but laughed at me!. I went to Argos the same day (less then 20 meters away) and got the camera for £70.00 less then Curry's price.. AND Argos did the memory card for half price as I was buying the camera.

Now then, the TV. Where do I start..... I'd looked into the TV online as well. Now I only needed a small 32" tv for the bedroom, I explained it was for occasional use and I was not that bothered about features. The fella I spoke to kept telling me that I should get a bigger TV and that I should get a blu ray player even though I had already explained I don't own any blu rays. He said DVD's would soon be obsolete and he would knock £10 off a blu ray player if i bought it with the TV..... Dont even get me started on extended warrenty. God, he came up with senarios of people that had bought high end expensive kit, only to have it break down after 18months and for them to have payed hundreds of pounds to have it fixed... if only they had have bought the extended warrenty... I get the distinct impression from ALL of the staff at ALL branchs of Currys that they sell stuff that will probably break down after 12 months. I decided against buying from them. I have found the TV i want online £40.00 less then Currys and online they have not tried to force me to buy a bluray payer or extended warrenty. Dont think I'll ever set foot in a Curry's ever again. Seem over priced and have a one track mind on extended warranty.

Without directly insulting the staff at this store, it is a pathetic excuse of a high street shop. The staff are solely interested in selling "extended warranties" and nothing else, they'll try the best to sell it no matter how much you say no. To the point I walked out of the store, and went to Argos over the road and paid the £5.00 extra. The staff even tell out right lies to you, and have absolute no knowledge of the "Sale of Goods Act" only able to offer "credit notes" if the item is broke when you get home, as your not allowed to open the box until you have paid for the item. My recommendation is avoid this place at all costs.
