THE ART OF THE SNEAKER. The DX7 Custom Edition is the first in a series of shoes that we're creating in a collaboration with the acclaimed international artist, Nicolas Dixon. Each pair is truly unique, individually created by Nicolas as a one-off commission. And more than a simply buying a pair of sneakers, you are buying a bespoke experience. The process begins with a fitting of 'the blank canvas' - the brilliant Original 172. This can be done via postal delivery and in some cases, by face-to-face appointment. The sneakers are forwarded to Nicolas and you are encouraged to have a conversation with him about possible colourways. Nicolas's graphic motifs are part of the vernacular of his art so cannot be changed. The shoes are then handpainted by Nicolas in his Leeds studio. The completed DX7s are delivered two weeks later*, hand signed and numbered, with a certificate of authenticity and in a Limited Edition box. The shoes shown are the DX7 on white and champagne ground. Any leather 172 can be used as a canvas. IMPORTANT TO NOTE The DX7 is a piece of art, commissioned by you. Once you tell Nicolas, "go for it," we can no longer refund you. *depending on Nicolas's availability and demand.
