Promotion: FM Synthesis The DX7 V is a highly capable synthesizer with a hugely versatile FM synthesis engine. FM synthesis utilises six signal generators to be used as carriers or modules. Each operator consists of a simple oscillator and a dedicated envelope-controlled amplifier. The timbre of the ultimate sound is dependent on the relationship between carrier and modulator operators. A selection of 32 algorithms determines the relationship between operators so it is easy to conjure new timbres on the fly. FM made easy FM synthesis on the original DX7 was notoriously difficult to program and perform. Arturia has added more waveforms envelopes modulation filters and effects and then put all this into a sleek and intuitive user interface. The advanced interface gives you comprehensive control over all of these features either from a quick access panel or an in-depth panel with access to every parameter.
