"like English Gentlemen" To Peter Scott From The Author Of 'where's Master?'
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Chromolithograph illustrated paper covered boards, in fair/poor condition. [1913]. Paper to spine is missing, corners rubbed and rather grubby but binding still holds together well. Internally some minor foxing, age related wear. A scarce work, telling the story of the fate of Scott of the Antarctic and his companions in the form of a children' story, written for Scott's son Peter in which Kathleen Scott explains the death of Scott to their infant son through comparison with the story of Peter Pan. Anonymously published to aid Peter and the relatives of those who lost their lives during the tragic Terra Nova/ Scott expedition. Possibly compiled by J.E. Hodder-Williams; erroneously attributed to J.M. Barrie.
