The 14k Gold Filled Claudette Necklace - Enamel | Black by Fior S. The stunning Claudette Fans Necklaces are named after Claudette Colbert, a well-known Art Deco era actress. These beautiful fans remind us of Cleopatra's headdress in Cecil B. De Mille's 1934 film, in which Claudette played Cleopatra. Antiqued raw brass expertly embellished with many layers of hand-dyed and hand-poured coloured enamel. Hung on a delicate 20" (inch) 14k gold filled fine cable chain. Gold-filled is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight and is, therefore, a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating.
