1940s Elzac Duck And Chain Brooch
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Clothing & Accessories> Jewellery & Watches
Quite an exciting find. Unlike other 1940s ELZAC ducks we have seen, this one is chained. (We wondered if it was inspired by the famous French satirical magazine Le Canard Enchaine?). It has the classic 30s and 40s trombone fastening. It's a little crazed on close inspection and has lost some detail to the eye, otherwise good. [Note for those who have not met them - these were designed by the people who moved on to make Barbie ]. 2" tall.
