A political cartoon from the 1970s that is mostly painted, with some areas possibly penned, and mounted on strong card. This piece depicts an arrow shaped wooden sign nailed to a cacti in the desert with the words 'Modelling Of Water Demands' on. On the ground in front of this sign is a desperately dehydrated prostrated man looking up at it as if the writing spells out his last hope. The art is signed and dated 'Jim 77'. Despite contacting various galleries and cartoon experts, we have been unable to identify the artist. Condition is of the image is good, with no marks and the colours remain reasonably bright. There are some grubby marks on the white card mount and some more on its reverse, but nothing major. Approx. Dimensions: 50cm W, 40.5cm H. Please search "Political Cartoon" to see more of these.
