A collectable compact disc-package, released on the "Unesco Classics" series of the joint labels "EMI-Classics / Disky", in the Early-Noughties. It features three works by that German genius & rascal, Richard Strauss (1864-1949), in some particularly highly-thought-of recordings that were all made in the year, 1980 ... 1) "Don Juan" Op.20 (17mins). 2) "Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche" Op.28 (15mins.). (featuring The Vienna Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Andre Previn) 3) "Also sprach Zarathustra" Op.30 (33mins.). (featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy) The Cover opens into a gatefold (sample Photo Two), containing the tracklisting & performance-credits (as for a deserved artwork-credit - scandalously, there is none, although it says on the package's Reverse-Cover, that "Cover Design" was by "Studio Van Dijken", based in Enschede, in The Netherlands!). The CD is in EX- condition.
