Hardback book with dust jacket. Still sealed. The autobiography of Bill Mundy. Born in 1936, Bill Mundy trained as a lithographic artist in Reading. However the course of his life changed forever during his National Service days in the fifties. Bill's love affair with the Orient started the moment he set foot in Singapore where he worked as a Military cartographer. After demob in 1957 the East beckoned him back. For nearly twenty years he lived in Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok before finally returning to England in 1978 to become a full-time artist and portrait painter. He produced hundreds of paintings, specialising in miniature portraiture. In 1999 he was commissioned to paint an Equestrian miniature for Her Majesty The Queen, and is the only living miniaturist to be represented at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
