A Collection Of Sculpture By Alberic Collin 28th April - 28th May 1999
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Very scarce book published for the exhibition/sale of sculpture by the Belgian artist Alberic Collin in 1999 at The Sladmore Gallery, London. Green cloth hard covers with gilt titles on the front and spine and gilt camel motif on the front. The covers show little wear but there is slight discolouration of the spine and also towards the margins of the front board; on the rear board there are three tiny dark spots near the spine hinge. The binding of the text block is tight and there are no inscriptions. Short biography of Collin followed by colour plates of the 18 exhibits. Collin was a leading Belgian sculptor the majority of his work consisting of small works in bronze. He was a perceptive, individual and sympathetic observer of animals which comprise the subjects of his work.
