A Dialogue of Paintings: An Unconventional Guided Tour in the Old Masters' Gallery of the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts - Vilmos Tatrai. Translated by Thomas J. DeKornfeld and Helen D. Hiltabidle. Published by the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest, Hardback, 2003. Illustrated. The author claims that this book is not a guide to the paintings in the museum, nor a survey of any particular period, but is more of a comparative analysis of two or three paintings, linked to each other by a common theme or genre. The author, Vilmos Tatrai, is a curator and board member of the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts, and has written many works within the field of art history. Condition: Good. Light tanning along the top of each page and foxing along the top page edges. The dust jacket is a little marked front and back, with some fading on the spine. A Hungarian price sticker is also to be found on the back.
