The art of Piero della Francesca is one of the most fascinating of the Renaissance. This volume is intended to accompany the visitor along the stages of a ideal journey to the places that were important to him and where his talent flowed, along an itinerary dedicated to the artist through Tuscany, Umbria and the Marche. Piero, in fact might be defined as a wandering painter in the sense that he travelled continuously from the Tiber Valley where he was born to the most important courts of the fifteenth century. However, he always maintained very strong ties with his Birth place, Borgo San Sepolcro, where he often returned and where he died on 12th October 1492.
