A Village By The Jordan: The Story Of Degania
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
This little out of print gem brings to light the incredible sacrifice the founders of Israel were willing to make long before Israel ever became a nation. It was an age of focused passion to restore the land once again. The story of Degania is well told because it is the story of the author's life. Certainly his life has been connected with that of the Kibbutz since its founding. This is a story of the striving of a people for a better existence and a desire to live in common with others. Missing dustjacket and a little grubby and yellowed it is in physically good condition and comes with several newspaper cuttings of the time. Signed by the author
