These bike specific kits provide a complete 'plug and play' solution to adding an Aim Motorsport Solo 2 DL GPS lap timer to your bike. The kit includes the Solo 2 DL lap timer, a bike specific ECU connection lead and a bike specific mounting bracket. They are available for most popular sports bikes, a comprehensive list of which bikes are covered can be found below.Very simple plug and play connection to the bike ECUIncludes a bike specific bracket for easy mountingSave money over purchasing the parts separatelyPrecision GPS lap timing and data logging provide you the tools to improve your lap timesThe AIM Solo 2 DL raises the bar for GPS lap timers. Like its predecessor, the unit is capable of being connected to the vehicles ECU in order to obtain various data from the sensors fitted to the car. A comprehensive range of compatible ECUs allows for an easy installation. However, in the unlikely event your particular bike ECU protocol is not supported, an ECU Driver Builder is available as part of the powerful Race Studio 3 Software. The GPS technology used in this unit has been updated from its predecessor and now receives the data from two satellite constellations, GPS and Glonass; making for a significant improvement in data speed and positioning precision. This means that the start up time is reduced to a matter of seconds and lap times are accurate to a tolerance of two hundredths of a second. The display of the Solo 2 DL features a selection of 7 different backlight colours which can selected by the user to suit their requirements. The sharp, high contrast display helps the driver to easily identify the data being displayed.Making use of GPS technology, the Solo 2 DL is pre-loaded with a database of over 1,000 tracks from all over the world so that as soon as the unit is switched on, it identifies its position and loads the start line coordinates ready to begin recording lap times. If, however, the particular track that you are at is not recognised, the Solo 2 DL automatically enters auto-learning mode and begins to build the track layout based on your car position and records the lap times. The improved GPS technology in the Solo 2 DL also provides better reliability from the predictive lap timing function so that you can see, in real time, how your current lap compares to your best lap. The LEDs are also configurable to give a visual indication on whether you are quicker or slower. The Solo 2 DL now features a theoretical lap timing mode which pieces together your overall best sector times to provide an optimal lap time that could be achieved. Timing information can also be shown in a delta format which gives a representation of how much time you are quicker or slower than your best lap.The Solo 2 DL is not just restricted to circuit racing, it can also be used for point to point or regularity events as well as performance tests such as 0-60 mph etc. As with the circuit racing mode, all data is recorded and can be reviewed immediately after the session. If you want to further review the data, the Solo 2 DL has integrated Wi-Fi so that you can transfer data securely and quickly to a laptop or computer up to 50m away without the need for connectors or cables. You can then import the data into the AIM Race Studio 3 software (free download - to ensure latest version) for full analysis.Example data protocols sampled from the bikes ECU include: RPM, throttle position, engaged gear, neutral sensor, front wheel speed, rear wheel speed, engine coolant temperature, selected map, engine check, manual throttle, intake air temperature, yawing rate, rolling rate, horizontal accelerometer, vertical accelerometer, longitudinal acceleration, traction control intervention, clutch switch, side stand, front brake, rear brake, oil pressure switch and map selection menu. PLEASE NOTE: Different ECU's output different protocols and not all will be available for each model.Apart from adding a suspension potentiometer to measure suspension travel (front, rear or both), most other data can be taken directly from the motorbikes ECU using this lead.Dimensions: 98 x 73.7 x 30.2mm
