The book Acrylics for the Absolute Beginner will teach those who have always wanted to paint but lacked the confidence, and turn them into skilled artists who understand acrylics and how to work with them. This comprehensive course covers landscape painting with acrylic mediums and is written by one of the UK's leading painters Charles Evans. Inside you will find easy to understand techniques and an engaging writing style that helps to make acrylic painting more achievable and within anyone's grasp. The book begins with priceless advice for the beginner, including topics like painting, composition, easy perspective, light and shade, colour and how to use acrylics for different painting styles. There are in total six complete step-by-step projects that will teach you to paint, ranging from basic skies to snowy landscapes with horses that are all supported and expounded by additional exercises and information. This will allow artists to practice the things they have read to produce six striking paintings of their own in different styles and techniques. The author Charles Evans is well-known from his long-running TV series and for his art classes, which are held all over the UK. After a conventional school education Charles entered and spent many years in the catering trade, eventually taking a break to study at Lincoln College of Art. He then joined the Royal Air Force. Following several years in the military, Charles resumed his civilian life in catering, owning bistros and contract catering companies, before turning back to art around thirty years ago. Charles made over two hundred television programmes on art for the Tyne Tees television company, then for the Discovery Channel. - Author: Charles Evans - Publisher: Search Press - Pages: 176 - Illustrations: 350 - Size: 216 mm x 280 mm - A comprehensive course that covers landscape painting with acrylic mediums - Features 6 projects teaching you how to paint a variety of landscapes and techniques - Easy to follow step-by-step instructions and demonstrations
