Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Rare piece of social history. This was a book given by Moss Bros to Valued customers with a view to retaining their Children as future customers. Moss Bros put into play a strategic marketing plan whereby issuing a series of free riding/hunting books created for the children market they would both impress the parents and retain their children as future customers. This book was written for them by Jack Ivester Lloyd and illustrated by his father Tom. All in all no expense was spared to create this tome which was of course completely in keeping with the quality image of Moss Bros at that time. Illustrated folder type cover , worn but stable, and pages inside are firmly held. Slight stain to top right cover. Title page has some brown marks . Pages slightly curled at bottom right. Text clear. early 1930s? No date
