Algesal Cream 50g Symptomatic relief rheumatic and minor muscular conditions. What is Algesal Cream? Algesal Cream is a pain relief cream with the active ingredient Diethylamine Salicylate, a local analgesic that helps relieve the pain of minor muscular conditions such as lumbago, fibrositis, sciatica bruises, and strains. Analgesics are pain killers which work by helping to reduce swelling and inflammation. In cream form, they can be applied directly to the affected area where it is then absorbed through the skin. Warnings and Precautions Algesal is not suitable for children under the age of 6 years old. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Read the package leaflet before use. Store in a cool, dry place that is below 25 degrees C. Store in original packaging and do not use if the expiration date printed on the carton has passed. Do not use Algesal if: You are allergic to aspirin or medicines like aspirin. Precautions: If you are taking any other medication, prescribed or over the counter, you should speak to your doctor or the SimplyMeds Online pharmacist before using this product. Contact your doctor if you are taking any Anticoagulants which prevent blood from clotting or Methotrexate which is used to treat certain cancers or severe rheumatoid arthritis. Ingredients: The active ingredient is diethylamine salicylate 10% w/w. The other ingredients are ethylene glycol stearate, glycerol monostearate, stearic acid, triethanolamine, petrolatum, light liquid paraffin, microcrystalline wax, lavandin composition, and purified water.
