Charles Hardwick (1817 - 1889) was an English antiquary, known for his writings related to Lancashire. He was a vice-president of the Manchester Literary Club, of which he was a founder, and was also editor of Country Words: a North of England Magazine of Literature, Science, and Art, 17 numbers, Manchester, 1866-67. Condition: Fair. The pages are clean, although the binding is splitting at the end papers. The hand-cut style pages are dusty, tanned and foxed around the edges, especially the top and fore-edge.
