This dessert spoon is hallmarked as London assay silver, with a George IV duty mark and datemark of 1824. The makers mark is that of Benjamin Davis. The letters 'C J' are engraved into the head of the handle. The spoon is in reasonable condition for its age, though is characterised by some dents and warping along the bowl, as well as stubborn tarnish and age-related scratches and wear. It weighs approximately 19gms and is approximately 14.5cm in length.
