Antique Silver Plated Coffee Pot- Walker & Hall, Sheffield C. 1910-1920 New
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category:
A charming antique silver plated coffee pot from Sheffield makers Walker & Hall made between 1910-1920. It features a chunky, sharp edged spout, perforated handle and hinged lid. There is a lion emblem engraved on the side of this coffee pot. This is like the logo for the hotel that once owned it. This piece is in good condition for its age with light surface marks and signs of wear. Markings on the bottom indicate that this was owned by the Westbourne hotel in Bristol and has therefore likely seen a lot of use. There is a small dent towards the base. This particular example has a wonderfully patina that displays hues of purple, green and blue. You could polish this back to bright shiny silver plate but we love the way it wears its age. Height 17cm Diameter 10.5cm Capacity 750ml approx.
