Born Nefertiti Fahmy, the daughter of a well-known doctor, she is known in society and the newspaper world as Isis Fahmy. She began her career as a society columnist famous for her inside stories about Egyptian high society and went on to report on diplomatic and political affairs in a weekly newspaper column with many front page scoops to her credit. Isis describes her family background, schooldays, adolescence and also society life as it then was. She reveals how she first became involved in journalism and the events that took her onto the international stage. During her travels she interviewed Kings, Queens, Presidents, Dictators, Diplomats, Politicians, Film Stars and many other interesting personalities. Her memoirs of this perpatetic life are a mixture of amusing, intriguing and sometimes amazing stories in the life of a fascinating woman who, as a journalist, had access to some of the most interesting and powerful figures on the world stage.
