Had a really enjoyable afternoon looking at photos and pots. It's heartening to see a museum/ art gallery being enjoyed by so many people. Well staffed by helpful engaged people who, want to make you visit work for you. I recommend you visit. The Pre Raphaelite room is a must.
Beautiful building with surprising Egyptian exhibition. Surprising because we expected museum focus would be local history, and there's a lot of that to tell. Maybe we didn't spend long enough. A lovely location for a major evening function.
Fantastic old building with a lot of interesting permanent exhibits and a guest exhibit hall. Plenty of natural and local history as well a very good Egyptian exhibit. Art gallery on the upper floor has a mix of modern and traditional pieces.
A great non for profit Gallery run by Artists and Free right next to the Roman Baths . Really good space, friendly with a range of rooms available for hire, including workshop . Unique in Bath and well worth a visit . Shows change on a regular basis ,
Good permanent collection, quite varied. I appreciated the watercolours that feel quite rare in museums. The art is presented in such way that walking around the room feels like travelling through the years. Some explanations of details or techniques in the paintings send you back to previous ones. There are catalogues depicting the art which are very educational. I didn't like the temporary exhibition (entertainment in Bath) as much but it was still instructive.
I had a great workshop as part of my university course. The Pliosaurus exhibition was fantastic and even as an adult it was great to be able to fully interact with the life size model and have fun with the other elements of the exhibition. The rest of the museum houses some incredible collections of fossils, taxonomy, art and pottery which are very relevant to Bristol especially the Bristol Dinosaur! There was so much to see that I'll have to visit another day to really appreciate all that the museum has to offer!
The beautiful art museum with great exterior and interior. Very quiet and cosy place where you can easily spend an hour without noticing. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, glassware and other decorative artistic objects. The main gallery is free of charge but you have to pay to enter temporary exhibition.
The history of photography exhibition was phenomenally touching. The Gallery was free to enter and upstairs there are public toilets and hot tea and coffee facilities. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Thank You!

When you walk in through the door, you are made to feel very welcome, the owner is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, the gallery itself is a lovely space, it's one of Christmas Step's hidden gems and nestled in the Art's Quarter.
